PROBLEM

Sarah and Jake were looking for a creative and engaging way to tell their love story on their wedding website. They wanted an interactive and personal experience that would resonate with their guests, highlighting significant moments in their relationship, such as their first date, the rekindling of their bond, and the proposal. The couple sought a way to make their wedding website not just a platform for RSVPs, but an immersive storytelling experience that would evoke emotions of nostalgia and excitement. They turned to animation as the ideal medium to capture these pivotal moments in a visual format, offering their guests a modern, nostalgic, and meaningful way to connect with their journey.

PROCESS

We began by mapping out Sarah and Jake’s love story from their heartfelt reconnection to the moment of engagement using collaborative storyboarding to capture key emotional beats. Custom characters, props, and backgrounds were designed in Illustrator, with personal symbolism woven into every detail. Animation came to life in After Effects through expressive facial movements and fluid transitions grounded in core animation principles. We worked closely with the couple to choose meaningful music, layering in sound effects to heighten realism and emotional depth. Early drafts were reviewed and refined based on feedback, fine-tuning pacing and visual flow. Once finalized, we exported web-optimized files and

seamlessly integrated the animation into their wedding site, ensuring a smooth experience across both desktop and mobile devices.

RESULTS

Love Reimagined became the emotional centerpiece of Sarah and Jake’s wedding website, offering guests an interactive and heartfelt glimpse into their journey from high school sweethearts to rediscovering their love years later. The animation deeply resonated with viewers, who described it as “tear-worthy,” “relatable,” and “inspiring.” Its presence not only elevated the emotional tone of the site but also boosted traffic and engagement, leading to increased RSVPs and repeat visits. Custom visuals, meaningful landmarks, and carefully chosen music added a personal touch that made the experience feel uniquely theirs. Seamless desktop and mobile integration ensured a polished, cinematic presentation, while its shareable format made it easy for guests to post clips on social media, extending the reach of their love story far beyond the site itself.
